this kind of treatment every now and then and won't tolerate it anymore.
My sister, Chile and I met at Glorietta to buy some stuff. She will start working at Makati and decided to buy some things that she might need on her first very formal work after many years of doing unnecessary things.
We had dinner at Itallianis-Greenbelt 2 and it was almost 11PM when we decided to separate. She went on her way to Ayala and hailed for a bus while me, went in front of
Landmark, waited for a jeep with the others.
It was already getting too late and Im really tired so I decided to hail a cab instead. I rode and told the driver of my destination, P. Burgos. I was not thinking straight anymore, feeling very tired, sleepy and suffering from migraine.
There was a little traffic as always even at those times, the driver asked me if we should go straight and I said yes. The driver, again asked me if we should turn right and I told
him that we should be turning left. He said P.Burgos right? I told him that we should be turning left bound to JP.Rizal. Realizing my mistake, I told him that we could passed of
P.Burgos as what other cab drivers do or go straight to Makati Avenue. Either way doesn’t matter. He went straight.
After we passed on A. Venue I told him to turn left to Kamay Kainan bound. This is the usual way taxi drivers used to avoid the traffic shouting in front of us. He murmured and continued going straight. He said that he will be trapped inside, that he will pay Php500 or so and my fare won’t be enough. I ignored him and let him do his job.
We turned left to JP Rizal after. I asked him to pull back to the street on where I am supposed to go off. I looked at his meter. It says Php50. I took one 50 bill and one 20 bill from my wallet thinking that what I saw was wrong. My eyes are fairly bad even though I wear eyeglasses. When he pulled back, I checked it again before giving him
money and it says 52.50. He immediately caught my wrist and said its ok, its ok. I asked him, how much is it? He didn’t answer and he said its ok it's ok and not letting my wrist go. Of course I took my hands back and well, I snorted at him, gave him my Php20 and opened the door. He murmured and said it was traffic and the flat down rate is already 40. I really hold myself back and said thank you to keep his mouth shut and hopefully feel ashamed, before closing the door then walked.
I felt really bad not because I gave him extra Php 20 but because of what he did. He looked so low too me. He drove lazily and he kept on murmuring when I give directions.
He was so defensive knowing that what he did was wrong. I may not be the most generous passenger but I give credit to those taxi drivers who are so nice, accommodating and friendly. He used his maleness on me, thinking that because I’m a girl and petite I won’t fight back.
That experienced pushed me to write this and would be writing some more. I didn’t take the necessary details and I felt bad about it. I vowed to myself that I would be taking from small letters to heart. If I could take a picture/s, I would next time.
Taxi description: white but not so new
Taxi driver: lean man around 40 years of age. Bald. Looks tall based on how his head reached the driver's headdress. Maybe, a family man.
Taxi hailed: in front of Landmark and Glorietta
Taxi meter: Php30
Taxi destination: Landmark to JP. Rizal
Again, I'll try to be more detailed.

- thinking and doing things randomly - I know my site doesnt have direction unlike the more 'professional',more 'accessible' and user-friendly sites lying around the world wide web. But what can this girl do. I have random thoughts and do things randomly. I know it's not a proper excuse but still, an excuse nonetheless :D *wink
