... locally again :D
My "travel buddies", Mhinnie, Rara, Irish and with the new additions, Jaycee and Nicole went to Anawangin last weekend May 21, Saturday. It should have been on the 7th but it was cancelled twice before Saturday. I was thinking of calling it off because of the weather reports on line but then again, weather reports are 40% unreliable. So there you go, after bantering from each other we were able to arrive on the island on Saturday morning.
Rara arrived in our office at 10.30PM and waited for us; Irish, moi and Mhinnie. We took a taxi going to the bus station but the driver, maybe thinking that he could juice us with more money by trapping us in the middle of traffic, was so not smart. ooops (according to Nicole; stop it and move on).
Our reservation tickets were for 11.55 but and we arrived AT 11.55. Jaycee and Nicole were getting worried since Mhinnie had all the tickets, well we told Nicole to use her charm and wit if everything gets worst, the girl always has ways yes?
We took our seat. The bus started moving at 12.10AM which was really wonderful. We slept all through out the journey since all of us were from work and not fully rested. We arrived in our destination at around 4.30. It was a smooth ride. The driver was not in a hurry and was not falling back as well that's why almost all passengers slept like babies :D
When we reached the island at exactly 6.00AM. I think they have a policy of not going to cross the water at night because many visitors waited with us. When we reached the island (in our usual spot by the beach) the caretakers helped us in pitching our two tents (one from Irish and the other from Mhinnie which we didn't use much :D) .
Anyways, Rara, Mhinnie and Irish did the grilling while Jaycee and Nicole did the washing. Me? I sat, took pictures and waited for the hot dogs to be cooked hehe I really have to stop myself from eating all the hot dogs or they might bury me alive haha what can I do, it was my favorite hot dog with cheese hehe (must buy later :D )
Since we didn't bought any activities, we just sleep the whole day. I was really hot and just by looking around made me tired. Well, we walk around especially the forest part but it would be better if we did bring any activities. Rara didn't prepare anything (well she was thinking of playing badminton but she only has one racket unless the other player will use her hands or slippers), Mhinnie left the playing cards I told her to bring and I don't have enough time to buy a ball.
Anyhow, they swam late in the afternoon while I hold the fort while reading one of Anne Rice's early books. We prepared and had dinner while talking, having fun and posing in front of bart haha The girls washed up while Mhinnie stayed and I took some pictures of what other people are doing around the island at night.
Mhinnie was sleeping on her hammock, then Jaycee joined her using Nicole's hammock who sleeps in Mhinnie's tent. Irish was in her crib while Rara, her tent-mate stayed outside with us. Jaycee and Mhinnie ended up stargazing, while I dozed to the kiddie pool that Nicole bought hehe.
Rara woke me up and the others at 5 AM. I took a bath, we had breakfast and we roamed again but this time we went to 'he rocks'. Nicole and Irish decided to climbed up the mountain while we packed our things. They came back at around 8.30, they took their last dip into the beach before heading for a proper bath. Our boat came before 10.00 which was wonderful :D.
We waited for the bus, grabbed lunch and ate on the bus then we separate ways. I actually arrived my apartment at 3.00. I immediately started editing pictures, writing signatures, had dinner while waiting for my sister, Chile who decided to spend a night with me then sleep.
