She who has been: eating out with friends

I ate out with Irish and her sister last night at A-venue on Makati Avenue.

I cant remember the resto's name but it's the only Japanese Restaurant in the building. We, Irish and I used to eat there during our Friday night out, though we stopped going there a month before we fly to Davao.

I had grilled Salmon, Irish had veggies and shrimp and Irish's sister had beef. It was nice because we were able to chat about things. Office stuff, friends and whatnot.

Anyways, Irish took some pictures because I left my camera home. So, I'll be waiting, [yes! not only your guys] for the pictures to be send before I could post it here.

'Til then.

She who has been: giving her opinion

Our office errand lady asked me this question this morning?
Our conversation went like this:

EL : SWHB, am I bad?
SWHB: Why?
EL : only yes or no. no, why?
SWHB: Yes, you are mean. At times, but it doesn't mean that you are bad as a whole. There are times that you're grumpy and I think everyone has "its day" when we feel really grumpy. Of course there are times to, onwhere our characteristics doesn't match to the other person :)
What can you say, reader. Did I give the poor girl a wise answer?

hahaha

She who has been: suffering from a very hot day

10 Reasons why drinking water is good for you

1. Get healthy skin. Drinking water moisturizes your skin from the inside out. Water is essential to maintaining elasticity and suppleness and helps prevent dryness.

2. Lose weight. Increased water consumption can help you control weight by preventing you from confusing hunger with thirst. Water will also keep your body systems working properly, including metabolism and digestion, and give you the energy (and hydration) necessary for exercise.

3. Flush toxins. By helping to flush toxins, appropriate water intake lessens the burden on your kidneys and liver.

4. Reduce your risk of a heart attack. Researchers at Loma Linda University in California studied more than 20,000 healthy men and women and found that people who drink more than five glasses of water a day were less likely to die from a heart attack or heart disease than those who drank fewer than two glasses a day.

5. Cushion and lube your joints and muscles. Water makes up a large part of the fluid that lubricates and cushions your joints and muscles. Drinking water before, during, and after exercise can also help reduce muscle cramping and premature fatigue.

6. Stay regular. Water helps prevent constipation by adding fluid to the colon and bulk to stools, making bowel movements softer and easier to pass.

7. Stay hydrated, get energized, and be alert. On average, most adults lose about 10 cups of fluid a day through sweating, exhaling, urinating, and bowel movements. Even minor dehydration can cause impaired concentration, headaches, irritability, and fatigue.

8. Regulate your body temperature. Perspiration is your body's natural mechanism to control body temperature. And to sweat, you need plenty of water.

9. Reduce your risk of disease and infection. Water can help prevent kidney stones and reduce your chances of getting bladder, kidney, and urinary tract infections. One study found that women who drank more than five glasses of water a day had a risk of colon cancer that was 45 percent less than those who drank two or fewer glasses a day.

10. Get well. The traditional prescription to "drink plenty of fluids" when you're sick still holds strong. Water can help control a fever, replace lost fluids, and thin out mucus.

She who has been: laughing after reading this

I was surfing Facebook early this morning, maybe

'round 3 or 4 while eating breakfast because I just

what to chew and makes my mouth busy.

Anyways, I came across Sally's page and found this [actually i don't know how to call it] and it gave me a real laugh. As in a real laugh at 4 in the morning when everyone in my family and neighborhood is dozing to their own beds and rooms while me in the family room, exercising my fingers hah
Well, I asked [through Facebook :) ] Sally's permission you post it here though I didn't ask for an answer before posting.

** Sally, I know that you have a heart of mmm strawberries and you'll understand. I'll share my lunch with you on Monday. Swear. Love lots girl.**

Enjoy making you own sentences!

She who has been: watching the event

How important it is to wear good shoes in weddings?

Your toenails should be perfect just like those on the picture. It was taken at Aberdeen Court on Makati Avenue, Caroline's wedding. All of us participated in this event. Irish, one of the bride's maid and who caught the bouquet is shown with her polished feet wearing a-Cinderella-type-of-shoes, the glass slippers.

Mhinnie, bride's maid and one of the 2 wedding singers. The other one was the bride's younger brother, who caught the garter and as the tradition, putting the not-so-tight on Irish's slim legs. Imagine what happened. If you're thinking that the shameless garten doesn't stay in place, then you are definitely right.

Sally, also a bride's maid, posed as the event's emcee and asked people to do this and that. As of me, hmmm I'm walking up and down the stairs as the trio's; Irish, Mhinnie and Sally's personal photographer and nanny, as in  "yaya" like I hailed for a cab, reserved us a table and etc.

It was fun and really nice.

She who has been: appreciating a wonderful shot

The lady in white is Miles, one of my co-workers 2 or 3 years ago. I saw her picture while surfing facebook.

** Miles, please forgive me for publishing this photo publicly without your knowledge. I really hope that it could do you good and find it in your heart to forgive me. **

Anyways, one look and I fell in love with this shot. It's so beautiful. Im always mesmerized looking to wedding photos of brides' on their backs. Why? First, you could see the gown and the trail :) second, for whatever reasons it seems that I could see or feel the real beauty of the bride without them, the brides looking directly in the camera. Just showing their emotions by actions.

How lovely, isnt it.

I also salute skilled photographers for capturing emotional scenes like this one. This picture is one of many that encourages me to go out with my camera and take that shot.

I hope and wishing that I could one day able to buy a real photographer's cam and have time as well as money to take people's backs.

She who has been: thinking of what to do with her day

Hmm isnt it obvious that im home on a friday afternoon, listening to Christina Aguilar's Hurt.

Im on a holiday. Its Buddah's birthday in ROK and people will go to mountains to count leaves and have some free time.

I set my alarm clock at 7 but I think there's something wrong with my hearing because I found myself sitting in my bed at 9 hahaha
I went to Ortigas to meet my realtor, Joel, had lunch (alone) at Shangrila-Plaza then catching some Z's again at 1. I got up at 3 and faced my 2-year old laptop while texting with Grei to check Banana Split.

Im still thinking of going home since its Erika's birthday yesterday. well, she's asking for some violets' as a gift and unfortunately I dont have any. Also, I need to talk to mom if she, in good faith lend me her cheques and
signature for my first ever unit that hopefully could give me some violets after 2 years.

======== UPDATE ========

I'm actually home now, my mom's. Well I need her checks for my new project.
Hope everything goes well.

Crossing fingers..

She who has been: waiting for a place under her name

When was the last time Ive been in Shangrila?
Honestly, I cant remember but I decided to have lunch there just this afternoon. I met my realtor, Joel to see the unit that I'm planning to buy :) and had been so hungry after.

I took a video of the model unit of my future 15sq m-studio type unit. I know I know its pretty small and how am I going to bounce in that claustrophobic-sized of unit. No worries, it might be small but I can still sleep with my back in a comfy-looking bed also its just enough for singles like I :) and doesn't know how to spend her hard-earned peso wisely. I think its better than go to malls and make myself fat by eating sinful food [well except ice cream]

harhar

Now I have (more) reasons of working harder and kill the boredom that's been creeping in my clouded-i-dowannawork-again-mind.

Ill be paying that space for 2 years in a not-so-expensive price and wish to my lucky star that i could buy another one, a more acceptable space early next year.

Oh my, I really cant help but smile and feel so eager to buy some (small) things for this place. grrr my lets-go&spend-your-money hand is acting again since I signed those papers

grrr

She who has been: wanting a companion

Meet my baby

This is her video. Her first actually, so it means there will be others to follow.
She's a Shih tzu and a few months old. She as well as her other sibs were born on Apr 3rd.

I'll have her on July 23rd. Why? She's still a pup and I'm afraid that she'll get sick with me being so busy at work.

I'm so excited to meet her :) as well as my sisters.

We all grew up with a dog or two. It all started with Jumper [mom named her duh!] but I called her, Jam because she's soo sweet :) It was given to me by a classmate way back in elementary [6th grade]. She was
soo tiny then as in sooo tiny. She was only  few days/weeks old then and the family who used to have her were moving to a new place and couldn't take care of her. So there, my family have her until I reached college.

In between those years, we had some dogs too like when Jam got pregnant then we gave her pups to neighbors. Then there was one which I think was part German, Tiger which I'm not sure of because I wasn't really attached to him. It was again given by a neighbor who cant feed him, so we had him for a year or 2 before he passed away to worms.

At home they have a new one, a local named Cookie who keeps on barking at me every time I'll go home. Maybe she's greeting me or whatnot but grr I hate dogs who barks at me as if its our first ever to meet.

After Jam, I really never had any dogs that I'm really attached to but Ive been living alone for 2 years and I really miss having a dog. Swear!

So, when Grei - a coworker and friend, offered me one of her mom's shihtz I said yes immediately.

I even cancelled Banana Split once because 1. I'm thinking of buying my own space and I need an immediate cash for the necessary reservation and 2. I'll be spending money on her; grooming, food, vitamins, vaccine and all, BUT lo and behold after a few weeks ago things seems falling, arranging and fitting to my liking.
