she who has been: reposting

I was looking for free images online when I come across with this one. I really think it deserve reposting :D

1. Stop hiding who you really are.
2. Start being intensely selfish.
3. Stop following the rules.
4. Start scaring yourself.
5. Stop taking it all so damn seriously.
6. Start getting rid of the crap.
7. Stop being busy.
8. Start something.
9. Don’t worry what others will think about you.

I also think the website itself is really good.

she who has been: changing many things

First, is my blog. I changed my blog template as you can see now. From blue, now it's brown but I'm not yet done with the modification. I also added new tabs, new lists and so on. I want it to be 'mine'.

Second, I'm also thinking of becoming more active in blogging. So, I'll be serious with 'typing' haha. I'll try to fix my category panel and think for a way to make it look cleaner, easier to access (especially me T.T) and connect to other writers. Well, for some odd reasons I really want to do it haha and it took me three years before I realized it :D

Third, get more info. research! research! research! Since, I'm almost always in front of the computer, working, reading [mostly], listening or watching whatever, why not use the most of it :D

Again, I'm not thinking of being a professional blogger but just be another amateur blogger in the block.
Again, write and write and write my random thoughts!

she who has been: killing boredom

Yes. I am so bored doing the same things over and over again. Well, I've been in this business for quite awhile and it's killing me now. I'm planning to make once I reach 30 and I'll be 28 this coming Saturday.
I'm thinking and planning to develop myself within two years before I make whatever that could change my life but I think once I started whatever that could satisfy my needs is already life changing. Anyways, I still feel that something would twist my fate once I reach 30.

Why not start it now? So, here we go. I hope I could stick with it.

PLANS FOR NEXT WEEK:
1. I'm not really sure but I'm in between of buying a new notebook OR a portable harddisk. I'm planning to head home on Friday evening and copy my dad's movies which he downloaded from the net. I copied some last week when I was there for his birthday but my memory hard was reformatted for some technical reasons yesterday. I need to get back to my apartment, Saturday afternoon to do housechores since my house looks like a garbage-pothole.

2. DO housechores. It's a must!

3. DO the laundry. It's definitely a must! I'll send my laundry today to the laundromat and prepare my undies for a handwash which is better.

4. Continue my diet which is (at last) effective. I'll write a review on that on Sunday and load it on Monday as much as possible.

5. Use blogging as way to kill time.

6. Right reviews (even no one is asking) haha both in movies and books. I'll try to be more updated as much as possible but still write reviews of my collection.

7. Make a concrete plan on how can I make my Project 356 possible.

PLANS BEFORE THE WEEK ENDS:
1. Call my realtor to change cheques.
2. Go to bookstore on Friday to buy sketchpad and things.
3. Make decision on whether to buy a laptop or a harddisk (hope I could have them both T.T )
4. Prepare my laundry to be thrown to the laundry.
5. Finish the articles for next week.
6. COUNT BLESSINGS :D

she who has been: thinking of her previous days

Honestly I am not feeling well today. I feel bored. I only want to stay at home, maybe for another day or two. It rained a lot for the last two days. I went to my new goddaughter's Christianising, strolled in the mall, bought new hankies and a perfume which I have been thinking for awhile but didn't find the time to do. I checked for a new notebook and inquired for a portable hard disk. I was advice to return on Monday. Now, I'm in between of buying a new HD or a new power cord for my laptop. Anyways, I have a week to think. Yesterday, I watched all the movies my father copied for me.

Movie check:

Harry Potter and the Deadly Hallows I-II (5)

James And Oliver Phelps

I enjoyed reading and watching Harry Potter series. I enjoyed following their stories and adventures. Kudos to JK Rowling for connecting the first story to the last one, making it a real story even though the previous books has it's own ending and always started and ended at the King cross Station. Though, I didn't enjoy the kissing part between Ron (Grint) and Hermoine (Watson) at the Chamber of Secrets after they used the fang of the basilisk to destroy the cup of Hufflepuff; one of the seven Horcruxes of Voldemort. There's no connection between the kiss. It doesn't even seem necessary. An embrace will do the trick as long as there is an emotional connection between the two but nada. It seemed like they just pushed it for the sake of pushing it a big DUH! Also, they missed the conversation in the King cross Station especially Ron's which honestly I (and I'm guessing the other readers as well) would love to hear the most and I think they missed showing one of the highlights of the story, the downfall of Fred Weasley (James Phelps). Seeing and knowing that one of your closest friend die in front of you (it would have been great if they did a slomo in this one) would be very devastating and the audience will feel it since many like the twins and I may say that they are one of the characters who appeared constantly in the series.

Lines from the movie:
by Professor Dumbledore:
- Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also

Lines from the book:
by Professor Dumbledore:
- Power was my weakness and my temptation.
- Do not pity the dead, Harry, pity the living. Above all pity those who live without love. By returning you may ensure that fewer souls are maimed and fewer families are torn apart. If that seems to you a worthy goal, then we say goodbye for the present.
- It is a curious thing, Harry, but perhaps those who are best suited to power are those who have never sought it.

by Ron Weasley:
- [To his children, Rose and Hugo] If you're not in Gryffindor, we'll disinherit you, but no pressure.

FYI:
George Weasley went on to have a successful career with Weasleys’ Wizard Wheezes, married fellow Gryffindor Angela Johnson, and named his oldest son Fred. Sadly, though, he never completely recovered from the loss of his twin brother and best friend. - source

Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey Sam Claflin

Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (4)
You must realized that I enjoy watching and reading series :D I like following my favorite characters and Captain Jack Sparrow is one of them. This focuses to the Captain's love interest and how he eluded his love, Angelica (Penelope Cruz). She happened to be the daughter of Blackbeard (reminds me of One Piece, a manga) and in search, like Sparrow, of the fountain of youth. They have to retrieve a mermaid's tear and two chalices while on their way to the fountain before the Spanish gets there. I thought the Spanish wants the foountain for themselves but instead destroyed the altar because it's against God. Anyways, the mermaid, Syrena (Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey) was left tied to dry and die was released by their captive missionary, Phillip (Sam Claflin ) who fell in love with the mermaid escaped though wounded while the others were battling in the fountain of youth's altar. The Spaniards threw the chalices to water but the freed mermaid gave it to Sparrow and told him not to waste her tear. She swam back to the dying Phillip, who she loves as well and took him underwater to save him (reminds me of the Little Mermaid).
I'm happy that Sparrow has now a story of his own compare to the first 3-series of the movie on where he played support to William Turner and Elizabeth Swann. Barbarossa was back, playing a privateer and seeing him emotional after the lost of his right leg was good but having him back behind the steering wheel and a pirate was better. I didn't find anything unique about the story though like Sparrow leaving Angelica on the island even though he likes her a lot (common to pirate stories), the mermaid being all but beautiful, fanged and dangerous (read it from a long-forgotten book, cant remember the title), Barbarossa getting back behind the steering wheels after taking commands over Blackbeard's ship and Sparrow getting back the Black Pearl though shrunk and bottled.

Lines from the movie:
by Jack Sparrow:
- You know that feeling you get when you're standing in a high place... sudden urge to jump?... I don't have it.
- You lied to me by telling me the truth?
- Clergyman, on the off chance that this does not go well for me, I would like you to note it-hearing now-that I am fully prepared to believe in whatever I must, and be welcomed into that place where all the "goody-goodies" want to go once they pop their clogs. Savvy?
- You demonstrated a lot of technique for someone I apparently corrupted.

FYI:
Sparrow left Angelica on the island on where he was marooned twice afraid that she might revenge her father's death. Angelica, still on the island, finds Blackbeard's voodoo doll of Jack, which has washed ashore.

X-MEN: First Class (5)

James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender

This one works as a prequel of the X-Men. Since, I enjoyed reading the X-Men comics when I was young as well as watching the animation I enjoyed watching this one even though it's different from what I already know. In these latest series of X-Men, I watched how Professor X (James McAvoy) and Magento (Michael Fassbender) grew up, how the others came to picture like Mystique, who donated the X-mansion and how X got his feet on the wheels. Seeing my favorite character, Magneto is really cool. Seeing and hearing familiar names brings back memories.

Well, basically the story evolved to Magneto, X and Sebastian Shaw (primary characters) Mystique, Moira, Beast and Emma Frost (secondary) and Darwin, Havok, the Banshee, Tempest, Azazel and Riptide (to fill the rest). It has more talking than action and showing off 'mutant powers', not much with the training as well. Anyways, I like the fact that they really stood as a prequel, showing how they started and all but that's just it.

Lines from the movie:
by Magneto:- If you're using half your concentration to look normal, then you're only half paying attention to whatever else you're doing. Just pointing out something that could save your life. You want society to accept you, but you can't even accept yourself.
- Peace was never an option
- All your life the world has tried to tame you. It's time for you to be free

by Professor X:
- Killing will not bring you peace
- There's so much more to you than you know, not just pain and anger. There's good in you too, and you can harness all that. You have a power that no one can match, not even me.
- We have it in us to be the better men.
- I believe the true focus lies somewhere between rage and serenity
- You have a chance to become a part of something much bigger than yourself.

FYI:
Apparently, Sirs Patrick Stewart (Prof. X) and Ian McKellen (Magneto) were considered to appear in this film as the elder Professor X and Magneto, but the idea was discarded as the filmmakers wanted to start a new X-Men trilogy, without any connection to the previous movies.
As Hugh Jackman's brief cameo in this movie as Logan/Wolverine (he was in a bar when the young Prof. X and Magneto were recruiting mutants), he now becomes the first actor to play the same superhero comic book character in five movies. - source

Green Lantern (4)
Ryan Reynolds
Not because Hal Jordan (Ryan Reynolds) looked edible in this movie especially when he was wearing his tank top and low trousers, but because of the lines they exchanged (read below).

Many comic heroes and novels are pestering our cinemas nowadays but it doesn't mean that because its the trend one could just put any characters in movies and deprive with all the goodies.

Lines that needed to be heard:
by Hal Jordan:
Anything I see in my mind, I can create…"
- No matter how bad things get, something good is out there, just over the horizon…
- When I’m flying, it feels like anything is possible.
- You know... there is a saying in my planet, we say 'I am only human'. We say it because we are vulnerable, we say it because we are afraid, but that does not mean that we are weak.

by Sinestro:
- Individually, we are vulnerable. Together, we are unstoppable!

by Tomar-Re:
Green is the color of will. The guardians harnessed will because it is the strongest source of energy in the universe.
* that's why I so love green :D
-  Your will turns thought into reality. To master the ring you must learn to focus your will and create what you see in your mind. The ring's limits are only what you can imagine.

by Hal Jordan:
- Try what you wish with me, Beast, but don't you dare lay a stinking finger on the woman I love!
- I'm real glad you mentioned that, Predator, because knowing you've laid your slimy paws on her is going to make it all the more pleasurable to clean your clock!
- I've got a lot to say, and I'm not much good at speeches, so please don't interrupt me. When I saw, a little while ago, the strength of Green Arrow's love for Dinah, I realized that I've been denying myself that sort of strength... because I was proud, because I insisted on my own terms... because I demanded you accept me, not as the dashing Green Lantern, but as plain... Hal Jordan!
- We all taking a chance with this. Pick your poison.
