This is a late post for obvious reason. I was very busy from Monday to Wednesday. My throat was so rough on Thursday and on Friday, my body gave up.

Actually, I can still take it but I didn't know what came to me and I just decided not to come to the office.
Well, for a change. I want to know what people will do if I didn't come and there you go.

Sick leave extraordinaire.

I'll write it in a different post but for now, let me introduce you to one of my artistic friends posing for the Halloween.

Meet Klaudia.

She's a fine arts student and actually we only know each other for quite awhile. Then we started going home together since we hit the same road but she has to stop working to concentrate on her studies. We communicate through FaceBook on where I saw that picture.

I really love Halloween more than Christmas. Halloween I guest, is for adults who want to be creative and be a child in a day.

Yeah!, I know we say that it's for everyone but its more for adults. They are the ones who love dressing their children in the scariest outfit that they could fine.  Children, well not most, they enjoy it but they don't  appreciate it as much as adults especially when they are the ones who were the dreadful outfit.

They can be whomever they wanted to be.

Anyways, here are some of the pictures that I grabbed from Jenny Castor's FaceBook. She's one of my colleagues in my previous company. can you guest where the girl is??

I got permission to use these pictures so there you are, guys and gals.

she who has been: watching

... the fireworks with her mom and sister :D

Remember guys I told you that I was really pissed off with my turkey neighbors last Saturday of October 30th. Well, my mom, according to my sister was on her way here in my place that day because I told her that the turkeys were threatening me which was true. The thing is, I dont want to make any noises aside from the one that they already did.

I met them with my sister, Chile in MoA. We had lunch at Savory but I wasn't able to enjoy the food since I was still pissed off. We walked around, had some ice cream and we finally stopped at the Mall's bay.

I think it was somewhere around 6:00, we settled down in one of the many benches scattered there. The bay itself was barricaded for the firework display on that evening. We decided to wait for it. So, we sat there for hours, had some hotdogs and juice, mom got fascinated with the telescope and meteor and watched the fireworks.

I think it was already, 8 or so when we decided to go back inside the mall and to have dinner. We went to Mangyan which serves local dishes. Anyways, it will be on my next post.

she who has been: watching

... the sunset with  her mom and sister

As I mentioned in my previous post, because I was totally pissed off with my turkey neighbors, I went out with my mom and sis on October 30th, Saturday. The traffic was heavy because of the holiday and met them in another bus station. We went to Mall Of Asia, the biggest mall in Asia [according to them]. This mall is only wide not really big though. We dined at Savory for lunch but I wasn't able to enjoy it because I was still pissed off. So, my sister Chile finished my share of chicken.

We walked around the mall, checking stores and at 6:00 we went to the bay area. We watched the sunset.
We killed the time by looking around and watching people while waiting for a 10-minute fireworks at 7:00 [*sigh!]

We were seating near by a n observatory telescope and mom was so fascinated by it. She paid Php 150 to see Saturn in a cloudy night [duh! I told her not too]. We stayed there for another hour then we went back  inside the mall to have dinner at Mangyan [report on my next post], checked more boutiques before heading home.

she who has been: tormented

... by her neighbors.

urggh yes! that is  totally right.
My next-house neighbor has been tormenting me with their noises, yelling at each other even at 2:00 in the morning. Well, I'm always at work so it was OK but last October 30th, Saturday they shouted at me.

Freaking family!

No manners and all,  from their mother who doesn't  know  what to do to her bad-mouthed daughters to her  grandson who doesn't know what respect is.

The story goes like this [bear with me please] :

I woke up around 7:30AM to do some house chores. I went downstairs and bought some breakfast; rice and viand. After breakfast, I opened my laptop while then lie on the bed and started writing my to-do list. When all of a sudden my ever friendly neighbors shouted.

They climbed up to our apartment, banged the main door and went straight to my front door. Our landlady who was shoked and doesn't know what to do, knocked. Of course I opened my door. Then there were they, the  angry-mother turkey and the daughter-turkey. My landlady asked me if I was the one responsible for the flying bread plastic which of course I denied. I had a big black plastic bag in front of my room with the remnants of my breakfast. They left me immediately after I showed them my black garbage bag. The mother and daughter turkeys went upstairs and shouted at my upstairs neighbors. Women above me weren't able to speak not defend themselves because they were all surprised. They didn't do that to me though since I met them in the middle.I went out of my room and looked at them straight!

Dang!

I respect elders but it flies straight out of the windows if someone would dare to push me in the corner, young or old. grrrrrrr!

After all their barks [barking turkeys?], they marched home. They kept on barking and their turkey neighbors also barked, of course siding at them.

Since, I can't take it, instead of doing my laundry, I packed my bag and meet my mom and sis at MOA. We stayed their until 8PM. I checked Nana and went back to my apartment the following day. When I arrived, they male-helper in our apartment put a screen on my windows just to shut those turkeys' mouth.

Freaking turkeys!

... at the Gratitude Restaurant in Taguig.

Shyla, [my MeetUp and Travel Buddy] and I met at SM on October 23rd, Sunday on our way to Taguig. We went to Gratitude, our meet up place for that day and of course, I can't help but sample their goo dies. My pictures were'nt good, thanks to my very friendly camera [swear after this year, I'll have a new one Lomo??? hehehe] so, I'll be "borrowing" some pictures  from their site [I hope they won't sue me :( ]
Yes, their "women" are wearing sarong, white plain shirt/blouse and slippers. They are friendly and accommodating too. There are not much people though but it doesn't mean they are not that hip. They are COOL.

PLACE : 4
The place is solemn and good for meetings and relaxing. They have books that you can read while waiting of  killing time. The location is also accessible. It's  in the middle of almost everything: other restaurants, boutiques, apartments and  building companies but it  managed to stay peaceful.

SERVICE : 3
They are very friendly and accommodating but I only gave 3 since there are only a few people whom I see they cater too so maybe that's the reason why they are not stress or pressure. I wonder how these women will handle or approach customers in en masse. They smile and great their customers warmly, too.
 Shyla checking the menu
CREATIVETY, MENU, FACILITIES etc: 4
Their menu looks cool ;D Aside from the food description, they also indicate how many calories, carbohydrates and protein each dish has so for those who are on a diet, it's a treat! When I ordered mango juice  for Php 100 ++, it comes in a tall sexy pitcher with a seperate tall glass. It's good for 2.
They  also  have this  meditation room at the second floor onwhere they hold self-healing, yoga etc. Their ladies' room were clean and with tissue, hand soap etc.

FOOD : 3
The  way they call their food is different though it doesn't mean that there is something extraordinary about their food. I had tuna kebabs [Php 230] for lunch since I haven't eaten when I came there. I can't eat well  since there are people around  me and I can't eat the way I wanted to eat [conscious? yes and I  hate].  After our meeting finished at 6:30 to 7,  I'm already famished so while waiting for Shy and Kit to finish their private meeting, I endulged myself to their cream-sauced pasta [Php 250]. They talk, I eat hahaha

I met A  or Anna [manager in a call center for interncon hotels], Jason 2 [computer programmer], Jason 1 [into heath and wellness], Kit [businessman and instructor] and also, Shy [self-employed].  It was  fun  to meet new people in  all walks of life. I was surprised after the meeting and defenitely looking forward for a new one.

This yummy looking fruits were bought last month when Pola and I decided to eat out then we went to a  fleemarket because I want to eat fruits. She lent me $10 that I paid when we got home, since I didn't bring extra.

It took me 2 full weeks before I could finish these basket. I already gave some to Rara, Mhinie and Grei but still it took me that long before I can consume as many  fruit as possible.
